Matthew Perry’s Mother Still Accidentally Calls Her Son: ‘It Hits Me So Hard That He’s Not There’

“I have more freedom of a relationship with him now than I ever did,” Suzanne Morrison tells “Today” in the family’s first sit-down

Matthew Perry’s mother, Suzanne Morrison, said she still accidentally phones her son to chat with him about everyday life and is heartbroken realizing that he’s not there to pick up her call.

“Even now, I’ll see something funny or ridiculous on the news, or whatever it is, I go to call him,” Morrison told “Today’s” Savannah Guthrie in Perry’s family’s first sit-down interview since the actor’s death nearly one year ago. She went on to say that while Perry has died, she now feels closer to him, as the actor struggled with addiction for years.
